In a post-apocalyptic Africa where the light-skinned Nuru oppress the dark-skinned Okeke, a child of rape named Onyesonwu discovers she possesses dangerous magical abilities. As she grows into her power, she embarks on a journey to confront her sorcerer father and fulfill a destiny that could end the cycle of genocide.
