Sidereus Nuncius

The first published scientific work based on observations made through a telescope, detailing Galileo's 1610 discoveries. It describes the mountainous surface of the Moon, the discovery of numerous stars in the Milky Way, and the four largest moons of Jupiter. These observations challenged geocentric cosmology and provided early empirical evidence for the Copernican system.
